A Friendly Introduction - AndersonEast

Post a Comment Hi my name is Chris Purifoy. I have the privilege of representing Anderson East, a good friend and a gifted up in coming artist. I am also the founder of the Restoring Music Foundation, a new music business organization that will help Anderson East break national next winter. Anderson East is a new independently operated and funded project with a fair amount of traction and notability right out of the door. We have assembled an all star team for Anderson East's next record featuring some of music's top musicians and producers.
We have spent the last 2 years developing the sound, refining the image, and making new friends in the professional music industry. We recently finalized deals with several agencies that will help us take the big steps needed to go national this winter including: Daniels Media Law, The Restoring Music Foundation, IAMwe MGMT, and BK Entertainment Group.
Anderson East's music is amazing! The demo that is out now speaks for itself, but he has a video worth checking out also. Click around on his website, we have a really exciting "web experience" planned for his upcoming national release. Be sure to click the power button and hover over the fly!
He is recording the first half of his debut record in LA this September with Chris Seefried. It will feature two of the Counting Crows (David Immergluck & Charlie Gillingham), Don Heffington from Emmylou Harris's band, Rob Wasserman, and Noelle Scaggs among others. The second half will be recorded this winter. We have our eye on a great producer, but haven't closed any deals yet. It will be exciting though, stay tuned...
The RMF's mission is to restore the value of music all across the supply chain. Not only with new models, but also national awareness, education, and service projects. We are launching a new universal business model that aims to recreate the value proposition for buying music, a proposition no different than buying bottled water. It is free, but it is worth paying for. This is the exact paradox the RMF aims to restore in music. We have a fairly notable board of directors and a well thought out plan of action. Best thing is it all started on a camping trip with Anderson East in deep woods of Alabama on New Years. Inspiration sometimes shows up in strange places.
Anderson East's debut album will use the new model as part of his full commercialization when he goes national next winter (December - best case). We are shooting for the "In Rainbows" effect even if the new model does not take globally. It is an exciting story.
We are looking for some blog coverage to help us build our press kit as we move forward and take our next steps. Please consider writing a review. I am available for interviews as needed, and I can make Anderson East available as well. Please be in touch.
I hope this finds you well,
Chris Purifoy
